Summary

Explore Yoga Kleshas with Sandy in Alaska’s Knik River Valley during this full moon weekend. Surround yourself in the mountains and explore yourself through the five kleshas. Klesha means sheath, and we are layered in sheaths. Through yoga practice, philosophy, and meditation we’ll examine each layer while surrounded by the majestic Chugach mountains. Give yourself the opportunity to experience stillness away from your busy daily life.

Important Notes

Cancellations, Refunds, & Covid-19 Policy

We are optimistic that an improving situation in Alaska will allow us to carry out our July 2021 Alaska Yoga Retreat. We are monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely and will be following CDC recommendations.

Travelers to Alaska will be required to follow current State Health Orders. There are ample opportunities to practice physical distancing in America’s largest state and when we are confined to van travel or indoor yoga and other activities, we’ll ask you to wear a mask.

If the Covid situation deteriorates and we are forced to cancel the retreat, we will issue you a full refund, including the deposit.

Our policy is that no cancellations are permitted after 30 days before the trip start date.  If you have to cancel due to Covid, we will work with you, your travel insurer, and our suppliers to reach the best possible outcome.

Payment Schedule

Payment in full is due on or before June 23, 2021.

Yoga Instructor

Yoga is like a mirror, giving us an opportunity to look at our self without self-judgments. The process of inner awareness starts with yoga asana (movements), breath, mantra, meditation, and studying the yogic texts. The honest self-reflection reveals the truth of who we are and how we have arrived at this moment. Honoring where we are allows us to look at those around us with the same respect. Know that we all have our own paths to lead and yet we honor the path everyone is on, which is to the truth. Let Yoga realign us and guide us on this path. I was very fortunate to have found this tradition that has opened, released, and healed me. Through the process bringing clarity and knowing of who I am and my dharma. I am eternally grateful to my teachers Monica Devine in Alaska, Gurus at Yoga Vidya Gurukul, in Nasik, Yoga & Meditation in Rishikesh, India, Sienna Sherman who reinforced in me the love of teaching yoga, and Dr. Frawley for connecting me with Vedic teachings that resonate within me. Most grateful to the past teachers that have passed down the teachings of Yoga and for my everyday teacher and guidance, Nature and the Cosmos. I am a firm believer that yoga will help us to find “ease and grounded presence” in our daily life if we are willing to show up to the practice.

Hari Om!
