Q: How did you get started in the travel business?
Q: Why did you start Unquote Travel?
We started this company because we saw a need to bring better experiences to group travelers. We were tired of seeing tourists shuffled off and on big tour buses and hearing tour guides bore them to sleep. We wanted to our groups to get local experiences, meet people, and get to the bottom of what made the destination special. Hopefully, we’re changing small group travel for the better. Q: Who should travel with Unquote Travel?
We welcome all ages of travelers The only thing we ask of you is that you are fit enough to carry (or wheel) your own luggage and are able to do a fair bit of walking. All of our travelers come with an open mind and make an effort to understand the country and culture we’re visiting. We ask the same of you.
Q: Do you only sell your own tours?
No. For the countries beyond our scope, we partner with awesome small-scale companies who travel the way we do: stopping at the local markets, staying at family-run guesthouses, and really getting to understand a place and its people. We also partner with those who respect local customs, have regard for the environment and take animal, child, and women’s welfare seriously. In other words, they’re big on experiences and travel responsibly.
Q: Where is Unquote Travel based?
We are a web-based travel business registered in the United States. But we offer tours worldwide and host travelers from many different countries.
Q: Do you have a booking fee?
No. One advantage to booking through Unquote Travel is that there is never any booking fee. The price you see is the price you get.
Q: What if we don’t reach the minimum requirement of travels to start a tour.
Normally a minimum group size of at least 3 or 4 is needed to run a tour and we ask you to wait for confirmation before booking flights. If we cannot meet the minimum, your deposit will be repaid in full or put towards another journey.
Q: What is your cancelation policy?
Cancellations and Refunds
If you must cancel your reservation for a tour and/or its extension, we will refund your payment, less the following fees per tour and/or extension:
