January News from Unquote Travel
Why we travel…
Never has it been a more important time to travel. With the rise of nativism and nationalism across Europe and the United States, it’s time to reflect on who we are and how travel has made us this way.
My thoughts on this always point back to a Mark Twain quote from the Innocents Abroad, a classic of travel literature.
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
In our latest blog post, the three of us weigh in on the impact that traveling has had on our lives.
Experience Korea Tour
In less than three months our Experience Korea Tour sets off from Seoul to wander around local markets, eat the best food, visit palaces and Buddhist monasteries, and dig into the essence of Korean culture.
Our own Juno Kim from Seoul will be leading this small group of curious travelers around her home country. It’ll be like traveling around with a friend, getting authentic experiences and seeing the sites, for a fraction of the price of other small group tours.
