December News from Unquote Travel
This past week we’ve been driving around Transylvania with local experts, Slow Tours Romania. They’re helping us design an awesome new trip around this fascinating region of Romania for 2017.
All the Dracula hype about Transylvania may lure a few curious travelers, but Transylvania is a history-soaked region with lots of other stories to tell.
Germanic Saxons began settling the region in the 12th century. The legacy they left behind can still be seen today: magnificent fortified churches, towering castles, and uniform houses in villages and towns.
Our trip is designed to get you the most unique experiences and closer to the local culture by slowing down our travel speed and getting a better appreciation of the cuisine, meeting locals, and getting off the beaten track in villages.
Tour details will be posted in the next newsletter in January.
Right now we’ve also got our mind on Korea. Did you know that the written Korean language was invented by a committee of linguistic scholars in the 15th century? Then King Sejong was concerned because only the educated upper classes could read and write, due to the complexity of the Chinese characters that were used at the time.

We’ll be in Korea in April and hope you’ll join us. Our own Juno Kim from Seoul will be leading a small group of curious travelers around South Korea, tasting the best local food as we go and learning about Korean culture.
Here’s Why You Should Go To Korea With Us. You won’t get a better Korea experience anywhere else for this price. Period. We’re absolutely sure of that.See all of our Tours
