November News from Unquote Travel
Winter is Coming…
Are you a person who thrives in winter, or merely survives? Lovers of winter, read on. Survivors of winter, skip the below, we’ve got something better for you.
We’re thinking back to our trip to Lapland in the far north of Finland, exactly one year ago. When I first looked at the map, I couldn’t believe how far north we would be going…way above the Arctic Circle? What would life be like up there, I wondered? Especially in November.
Well, it was amazing, one of the best weeks I ever spent (and that’s saying a LOT for someone who doesn’t like the cold!). The primary reason for our trip was to see the spectacular northern lights, but that was served with a side of winter sports (snowshoeing), scenic adventures (dog mushing), great food (reindeer meat), culture (an intro to Sami culture), and a whole lot of quiet (staying in a riverside cottage outside of a small village).
If you need more convincing, here are 7 Reasons to go to Lapland Finland in Winter
We’re offering the same trip that Juno and I took, exactly one year ago, to all of you. Our friends at Aurora Holidays will take good care of you. Dates for Aurora chasing run through March. Read More: Northern Lights in Lapland Tour
